Kristen, RYT500, is a yoga teacher and freelance writer, has been practicing yoga since 1999. She spent the last threeyears deepening her practice, gaining greater knowledge and understanding of Vinyasa Flow and Hatha styles of yoga by earning her Yoga Alliance-approved, 500-hour teaching certificate and attending classes and workshops throughout Long Beach and L.A. Her favorite teachers are Cindy Zackney and Andrea Morgan, and she enjoys the teaching styles of Annie Carpenter and Kathryn Budig.
Kristen’s teaching style emphasizes strength; flexibility; proper alignment; and, most important, safety. All movement is connected with the breath, ensuring that students gain the most benefit from their practice — physically, mentally and spiritually.
Kristen loves exploring the world, photography, cooking and eating, volunteerism, the Sierra Nevadas, her friends and family, and — most of all — her amazing daughter, Clare.
